Technical Buyer – Industrial Manufacturing

We are looking for a professional to work on the procurement of industrial materials, equipment, and services, ensuring quality, deadlines, and the best cost-benefit for the operation. This position interfaces directly with machining, metal fabrication, cutting, bending, and laser processes, supporting the engineering, quality, and production teams.

Location: On-site – Joinville/SC  •  Contract: Full-time (CLT)  •  Inclusion: this position is also intended for People with Disabilities (PwD).

Main activities

  • Carry out technical procurement of industrial services and components.
  • Interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Prepare and analyze technical and commercial quotations.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery times, and terms with suppliers.
  • Develop, qualify, and evaluate suppliers.
  • Track orders and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work jointly with the engineering, quality, and production teams.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities focused on competitiveness and efficiency.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial technical procurement.
  • Knowledge of machining, metal fabrication, cutting, bending, and laser cutting.
  • Reading and interpretation of technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing materials.
  • Experience with technical and commercial negotiation.
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel.

Education and languages

  • Technical education or a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Logistics, Business Administration, or related areas.
  • Intermediate or advanced English is a desirable plus.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of welding and surface treatment.
  • Experience with industrial projects.
