Senior Mechanical Designer – Packaging

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer with solid experience in Packaging to work on the development of special machines and automated cells, from concept through final delivery.

Work model: On-site – Joinville/SC  •  Employment type: Full-time (CLT)

Main activities

  • Develop complete mechanical projects: concept, sizing, 3D modeling, calculations, and manufacturing detailing.
  • Work in an integrated way with multidisciplinary teams, including automation, procurement, assembly, logistics, and the customer.
  • Provide technical follow-up for projects, ensuring progress across stages, quality, timeline, and cost.
  • Apply technical standards and regulatory requirements in innovative solutions.
  • Work with advanced technologies in industrial automation and machine engineering.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in machine and Packaging system projects.
  • Experience in consumer goods and/or food sectors.
  • Knowledge of materials science, machine elements, manufacturing processes, pneumatics, and industrial automation.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Experience with special machines and robotic cells.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and applicable regulations, such as NR12, NR17, and FDA requirements for industrial equipment.
  • Microsoft Office suite.
  • Availability for occasional travel.

Education and languages

  • Technical education or degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Advanced or fluent English.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, cold-chain/meatpacking, or animal protein sectors.
